Abysmal Grief celebrate 20 years of activity with new release

Purveyors of some of the finest and most cursed Doom Metal, Italy's own Abysmal Grief returns from the shady graveyard to celebrate their 20 years.

TERROR FROM HELL Recs is proud to release on November 2nd, 2016 this luxurious relic containing: “Reveal Nothing...” CD with all the songs from their singles, splits and 7” , including one new unreleased track “Cursed Be The Rite”; the “Mors Te Audit” tape (the infamous second demotape, originally released on a limited edition of 13 pieces, presented with the same cover and layout); metal pin with Abysmal Grief sigil; exclusive poster; t-shirt exclusively designed for this release … and cemetery soil.
All these doomed hymns and devotional items are housed in a wooden box strictly limited to 100 pieces. CRIS LUNA reveal details on upcoming album 'Phoenix'

“Phoenix”, the latest album from CRIS LUNA is currently scheduled to be released on November 1st, 2016. The album reaches deep in CRIS’s teenage years.

The album’s style aims to be more empowered and more rock than ever before.It reaches into the past, present and the future to bring out an ageless and unencumbered sound, which can be described as CRIS LUNA’s sound. CRIS found himself strongly influenced by the New-Wave, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music from the United Kingdom and the USA, which were sweeping thru Europe during the "Eighties". CRIS’s first LP is called "Babylon Child”.

It offers a multifaceted style ranging from Rock, Progressive Rock and Post Rock. CRIS will have to wait until May 2014 and the release of the 2nd LP "Maëlstrohm"(produced in collaboration with Laurent Lepagneau (Ange)), before being recognized and greeted by rock critics in France and Belgium. Indeed, this second album is a true success. This loud and “in-your-face” acoustic storm that makes-up the album, blends Punk Rock, Heavy Progressive Rock and Garage music. False Reality reveal details on upcoming album, End of Eternity

Romanian Melodic Death Metal combo False Reality will release their first LP, "End of Eternity", via Loud Rage Music, on the 26th of October. The album is a stepping stone for the band's long and troubled existence, the only other material released so far being the EP "Tales of Eternity", in 2002. This absence of materials from a band formed in 1999 is mainly due to the hiatus that the band was in since 2003 until 2011.

Recorded, produced and mastered by Robert Cotoros (Hteththemeth, The Bipolar Disorder Project), the album features 7 long tracks and can be pre-ordered on the Bandcamp page of the Transylvanian label Loud Rage Music: https://loudragemusic.bandcamp.com/album/false-reality-end-of-eternity. The artwork is signed by Claudia Negrilă, a talented young artist from Brașov, Romania, also the home city of the band members.

AKRAL NECROSIS to release new opus “Underlight” on the 14th of October

The Black Thrash Metal veteran group from Bucharest, Romania, AKRAL NECROSIS are set to release a new album this Autumn. “Underlight” comes out on the 14th of October via Loud Rage Music on CD and digital.

“Underlight” contains nine tracks that can only be described as darker and more far reaching than all past releases of Akral Necrosis. Unlike “Pandemic Dominion”, the new album no longer presents a narrative concept, but a thematic one, with all songs being related to death.

The new full length has been recorded at Studio 148 by Marius Costache, who also handled the mix and master.

The release of “Underlight” marks a new collaboration between the band and Costin Chioreanu from Twilight13Media. The artist managed to perfectly capture the essence of the new album by creating the perfect artwork for it.

Acid Muffin is a power trio that plays an experimental and melodic Rock, clearly inspired by the sound of the Alternative Grunge of the 90s.

After a first demo recorded in 2012, the band, composed by Marco Pasqualucci  as guitarist and vocalist, Grabiel Alvarez  as bass player and chorist and Andrea Latini  as drummer, decided in 2013 to give birth to his first official project titled “Nameless”, a five tracks EP made of sounds coming from Grunge tradition and Post Rock atmosphere. After a strong live activity throughout Italy, including shows with Arcane Roots, Il Teatro Degli Orrori, L7 and other international acts, the band has just finished working on first full-length “Bloop”.

 The new sound that you’ll find in their forthcoming album is the exactly one that actually identifies the Acid Muffin: majestic and theatrical, a middle path between the surreal sound of Post Rock and the brainy music of Alternative Rock, absolutely modern and innovative.

The new album "Bloop” will be released on 28th October, 2016 by Valery Records, it will be distributed by Audioglobe and it  will be available on Itunes.

Damned Pilots announce the release of their new cd ‘Overgalaxy’ via Sliptrick Records due to be available in Winter 2016. ‘Overgalaxy’ is a steam punk concept album as drummer/founder Don Nutz says ”..it is built on the story of four cartoon characters, The Damned Pilots Don Nutz, Sgt Ote, Willer Hertz and Erik Space. They travel through space in the year 2500 A.C. on a 1970 ‘s hippy van customized to fight against their archenemy Gorguss and his evil empire”.

The lyrics, written by Sgt Ote, are about love and hate, war and peace, past and future, rebellions against failed systems, with the sense of humor typical of a sci-fi b-movie. 

The album has been recorded at Track Terminal Studio in Trieste, Italy by Francesco Bardy, except ‘Just Another Day’, ‘People Don’ t Die’ at Voodoosound Studios in Ijmuiden, Holland by Paul van Rijswijk. 

‘Overgalaxy’ is produced by Ron Goudie (Gwar, Death Angel, Poison) and mixed and mastered by legendary producer Bill Metoyer (W.A.S.P., Trouble, Slayer). as the artwork (due to be revealed soon) has been made by Philipino artist Uzi Emperado.

‘Overgalaxy’ features nine songs written by Don Nutz and Sgt Ote and one by Ron Goudie (‘Hell Is Cold’). The style goes from mid tempo groovy metal to doom metal and psychedelics ballads combined by catchy melodies. ‘Damned Pilots’ and ‘Season of the endings’ are two groovy metal pounding numbers dominated by solid huge riffs made to bang your head to. 

‘Desert Europa’ is a deep slow doom song with black metal influences characterized by a soul raspy metal voice. ‘Just Another Day’ and ‘People Don’t Die’ are two spaced out ballads. ‘Gorguss’ is a catchy doom pop song with monolithic riffs and memorable cosmic melodies. ‘Hell is Cold’ is the single of the album written by producer Ron Goudie, ‘Sylvanic’ is a song about Bigfoot from another planet, a powerful crossover between classic rock and 90’s metal. ‘Mos’ is a noise drone song written together with Mos DJ. Damned Pilots are influenced by Kiss, Monster Magnet, Trouble, Beatles, Mayhem, Turbonegro, Voivod, Ghost, Devil’s Blood, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, ELO.

SCUM to release brand new album through Sliptrick records on 2016

Born in 1998, Scum moved from small time garage metal band to national act, with its own  signature sound, an incendiary blend of Bay Area Old School metal and modern soundscapes,  all embedded in a nightmare of claustrophobia! Such is the concept behind their up-n-coming album ‘Humana’ where no-nonsense lyrics are vomited over a carpet of melting thrash/death metal.

Dealing with different issues, the album “Humana” is an attempt to elaborate about human nature,  what humanity means, and what role could have mankind in modern society (The intro is a Gustav Jung’s speech about human as the origin of all evil.)

Humana was recorded, mixed and produced by Stefano “Saul” Morabito at “16th Cellar Studio”  (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour of Penance, Hideous Divinity, Adimiron and many more…) in Rome, while the artwork, by Carlo Settembrini (also vocalist of Scum) and due to be revealed soon is an allusion to the human tendency to be driven by the trends, ignoring all the limitless potential of the individual , in favour of something bigger than the individual itself.

Scum has shreeded stages for 18 years along with bands such as Node, Eyeconoclast, Subliminal Crusher, Hour of Penance and more as well as being officially endorsed by Schecter Guitar Research.

The Extinct Dreams band of Funeral Doom/Death Metal from Russia, "Fragmenty vechnosti" is their third album

The Extinct Dreams was founded in early 2006 in Barnaul (Russia) In 2008, the group took part in two major Russian doom-festivals - PetroDoom in St. Petersburg and Shadow Doom Festival in Moscow. In the same year on the label Backfire Productions released their first album Ars Moriendi, recorded at home and designed in the spirit of old school doom death interspersed with funeral grind. In 2010, the group begins to record their second album "otherworldly glow" in the studio Megaton (Novosibirsk, Russia), which was released in August 2010 by Backfire Productions. Now, the time of third album!

CRIS LUNA, whose real name is Christopher Schoepp, was drawn to music at an early age and soon was rocked by the Anglo-Saxon Rock of the 60’s /70’s.
At the age of 12 year, CRIS joins the orchestra of his college and began playing the guitar and practicing his singing.
CRIS found himself strongly influenced by the New-Wave, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music from the United Kingdom and the USA, which were sweeping thru Europe during the "Eighties".

His college years presented CRIS with the opportunity to form his first musical band. He did so with the help of his childhood friend, a keyboard player by the name of Mathieu Gambs. The band MFO (The Other Face of Music) was born. The group, whose style was influenced by Rock and New-Wave, routinely performed live and recorded several demos throughout the 80’s.
The band abruptly found itself in a stalemate in the early 90s with the disappearance of ... Mathieu. MFO would never recover from this tragic event. As a result, it left CRIS immensely sad, frustrated, and with an enormous sense of unfinished business.

Shortly after, CRIS made the decision to distance himself from the music scene, but not without secretly continuing to cultivate his musical creative garden

2010 marks the beginning of an intensive songwriting endeavor that will lead to CRIS’s first LP, that he will auto-produce and release in 2012. The album is called "Babylon Child”. It offers a multifaceted style ranging from Rock, Progressive Rock and Post Rock.
