“We are passionate about rock music, pure and simple. 'On Our Knees' is our take on what we love, and a firm nod to what makes this band tick" - Idlewar
Watch 'On Our Knees' (music video) -
In just over two weeks, Orange County, Californian hard rock trio Idlewar will officially unveil their 'Impulse' full-length debut. Produced by drummer Pete Pagonis and mastered by Brian Lucey (Ghost 'Meliora', Black Keys 'El Camino', Arctic Monkeys 'AM', plus albums by David, 'Twin Peaks' 'Dune', Lynch) the new album is released 30th September 2016 via PHD, and delivers a truly rewarding enriched audio landscape.
In advance of its release, today Idlewar offers up the new song and accompanying music video 'On Our Knees', the 2nd single to be lifted from their forthcoming debut album (following the release of lead track 'Criminal'). Whereas 'Criminal' is a groove drenched, cheeky nod to the introduction of 'Impulse', 'On Our Knees' finds Idlewar with their foot to the floor, delivering a knockout punch with its gutsy overdrive tone, yet still maintaining melody and hooks-a-plenty with effortless ease. The lo-fi-esque raw visuals of the O.C. trio's new live video, combined with the driven sonics, makes 'On Your Knees' another reason why you need to check this band out.
In support of the forthcoming new album, Idlewar embark on their debut UK tour this coming November/December, as special guests to Stone Broken. Their time in the UK will also see the Californians play Planet Rock Radio's 'RockStock'. The sold out 3 day festival is headlined by The Dead Daisies, British Lion (Steve Harris, Iron Maiden) and Black Stone Cherry.
"This is not just about being able to play music that we’ve written for appreciative fans. It’s also about meeting these amazing people that we have connected with. We see a passion in fans that matches the passion we put into this music." - Idlewar

“Phoenix”, the latest album from CRIS LUNA is currently scheduled to be released on November 1st, 2016. The album reaches deep in CRIS’s teenage years.
The album’s style aims to be more empowered and more rock than ever before. It reaches into the past, present and the future to bring out an ageless and unencumbered sound, which can be described as CRIS LUNA’s sound.
CRIS LUNA, whose real name is Christopher Schoepp, was drawn to music at an early age and soon was rocked by the Anglo-Saxon Rock of the 60’s /70’s.
At the age of 12 year, CRIS joins the orchestra of his college and began playing the guitar and practicing his singing.
CRIS found himself strongly influenced by the New-Wave, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music from the United Kingdom and the USA, which were sweeping thru Europe during the "Eighties".
His college years presented CRIS with the opportunity to form his first musical band. He did so with the help of his childhood friend, a keyboard player by the name of Mathieu Gambs. The band MFO (The Other Face of Music) was born. The group, whose style was influenced by Rock and New-Wave, routinely performed live and recorded several demos throughout the 80’s.
The band abruptly found itself in a stalemate in the early 90s with the disappearance of ... Mathieu. MFO would never recover from this tragic event. As a result, it left CRIS immensely sad, frustrated, and with an enormous sense of unfinished business.
Shortly after, CRIS made the decision to distance himself from the music scene, but not without secretly continuing to cultivate his musical creative garden
2010 marks the beginning of an intensive songwriting endeavor that will lead to CRIS’s first LP, that he will auto-produce and release in 2012. The album is called "Babylon Child”. It offers a multifaceted style ranging from Rock, Progressive Rock and Post Rock.
CRIS will have to wait until May 2014 and the release of the 2nd LP "Maëlstrohm"(produced in collaboration with Laurent Lepagneau (Ange)), before being recognized and greeted by rock critics in France and Belgium.
Indeed, this second album is a true success. This loud and “in-your-face” acoustic storm that makes-up the album, blends Punk Rock, Heavy Progressive Rock and Garage music. "Rock & Folk" magazine quickly recognizes the album as one of the best self-produced Rock album in the hexagon that year.
Today, CRIS LUNA(guitar / vocals) is surrounded on stage by Benoit Cazzulini (Ange) on drums, Florent Latarche on guitar, and Nicolas Fageot on bass. The trio will hit the road in late 2016. Catch them live to experience the rebirth of the "Phoenix" on stage.

Alaskan Mountain Metal crew Turbid North have launch a brand new video for the track ‘Pyramid Drones’. The song is taken from their second full length album ‘Eyes Alive’ which is penned for release on 30th September via Apocalyptic Witchcraft.
The album is released on limited edition 180gram blood red vinyl and comes with a patch.
Vocalist Nick comments:
“The video was shot in an awesome venue we play regularly in Fort Worth, TX called Tomcats West. We rented some lights and one camera on a tripod to film ourselves. Did about 10 takes with different angles. No camera man, completely DIY. It isn’t the most action packed video, but we needed something quick and I really thought it was important to show off the new lineup.”
‘Eyes Alive’ is a concept album based in a dystopian future where the sun is a red giant and life on earth is a constant struggle to survive. The record was a complete DIY effort – recorded, mixed and mastered by vocalist/guitarist Nick Forkel at his Black Ram Studios.
Forkel explained:
“When we started to write this album our original singer and other guitarist left the band very early in the process. We decided to carry on as a 3 piece and continued writing. We wrote for a solid month, recording everything we did, then I took all those recordings and basically wrote the songs out of those jam sessions over the next couple of months.”
For fans of Napalm Death, Misery Index, Crowbar, Mastodon, Gojira, Isis and Pink Floyd.
